As I sit here watching 'Genesis of the Daleks' again, I'm reminded of some of the incredible roles that Guy has played that had an impact on my growing up. When I was a child, my mother and I would often truly look forward to watching 'Allo' Allo'. It was that English humour that really resonated with us and we would often repeat lines to each other as our own little in-jokes. When Allo Allo came to Australia as a stage show, I was thrilled to meet Guy after one performance (although I believe I irked him by mispronouncing his surname - something that is not lost on me as I often have my surname mispronounced and it can be frustrating!). The other 'constant' in my life has been Doctor Who, and seeing Guy's riveting performance in 'Genesis of The Daleks' - undeniably one of the most, if not THE most beloved of the classic series stories - still stands the test of time today. Obviously, there are so many roles that Guy has performed that is worthy of comment and adoration however these two characters are the ones that have truly won a place in my heart because of the joy they bring. I'd love to know what reflections Guy has on his time in both of those shows - although Doctor Who is obviously only for a handful of episodes, but what a story to be involved in! Side note, my mother sadly passed away November last year. At her funeral, I had to quote Allo Allo as it was something so special that my mother and I shared a love for.

Dear Lawrence,
Thank you for your lovely message.
My surname has been mispronounced my whole life and it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I do correct people, and perhaps that upsets them occasionally...
For 'reflections' on my work, I would point you to the many interviews I've done over the years. There are a few on this website. There is really far too much to go into here on the message board.
I'm so glad you and your mother got to share in the pleasure of the show. It means a lot to hear that.
Thanks again, and kind regards,
Guy
