I've been watching a lot of Allo Allo recently, it's been about 20 years or so since I last watched it.
I've been enjoying your Lieutenant Gruber character so much. I know it's just a TV character, but I think actors put a lot of who they are into their characters.
With due respect for your craft and colleagues, anyone can play a character to a degree of success.
But I think for someone to have played such a beloved character such as Gruber, it takes an element of bringing part of themselves to make a character as beautiful as you did. Basically, I think Gruber is so loved by myself and others exactly because we see you in Gruber.
But regardless of all that, your portrayal Gruber is beautiful. Gruber seems to be someone who accidentally arrived in a bizarre - and honestly awful situation - and yet, managed…

Dear Kumagaye Lin, Thank you so much for your very kind message. Of course there is a little of the actor in every character he plays, but (I hope) every character I play is very different. I often say - and it applies more than ever here - that I miss Gruber very much - he was a much nicer man than I am. Nevertheless thank you again for your kind words. Best, GS
